Ice Skating
If you like to strap on your runners and do your laps on the ice, you've come to the right place. You will certainly not be bored: on an area of 6.5 km² you have more than enough space on the largest natural ice surface in Europe, the frozen Weissensee. Here you can do whatever your heart desires: ice skating, hockey, ice shooting, ice golf... The up to 40 cm thick and reliable ice surface has earned the lake a unique reputation throughout Europe. At the end of January, 5,000 Dutch ice-sports enthusiasts regularly determine the fastest skaters at the 200 km ice-skating marathon.
As the second largest lake in the region, Lake Pressegger See is ideal for friends of frozen ice skating. Circular tracks, curling rinks, ice hockey surfaces - the natural ice surface of the 55 ha large lake also invites you to a unique ice sports experience.
